The squash deluge keeps coming — get your zucchini recipes ready. Also, the bees like those squash blossoms just as much as we do: Kristen got stung during last week’s harvest. Fortunately she’s a fan of the bees, but still — ow.
This week we’ll be getting a new treat: Garlic chives, which are often used in Asian cuisine. Eggplants and peppers are also starting to mature, and next week, we’ll have soy beans and perhaps broccoli rabe ready for harvest. Our new batch of seeds — parsnips, carrots, and lots of lettuce — have been enjoying this week’s rains.
