Red Hook chickens meet Radical Homemakers!

“It is possible to be a feminist and can tomatoes,” says Shannon Hayes, author of the new book Radical Homemakers.

She’ll be in town on Wednesday, April 28, to do a book signing, and who is going to join her? None other than Red Hook’s own chicken farmer, Declan Walsh. They’ll be talking urban farming, sustainable agriculture, eating local and more.

Tickets are $10 for admission and $25 for admission and a signed copy of Radical Homemakers. Pre-registration is required due to building security. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
