I got swamped at work last week and piked out on my “what I made” share report. (Which was a really fun bright red beet risotto! Photo below, recipe here.)
But I wanted to report back that the hyssop is indeed proving to be immortal. Three weeks later, it’s still looking as fresh and perky as the day it came home.
So as promised, it’s now been given a name. At a friend’s suggestion, it’s called Victoria, as an homage to the virtually unkillable vengeance vampire from the Twilight cult obsession“saga.” So far, my Victoria hasn’t turned murderous, but since it’s got to be sucking life force up from something to keep itself so fresh, the name seems fitting. -Stacy Cowley
